The following new members join Council following the General Meeting and Council Meetings held at the 15th Congress in Campinas, Brazil.
Brian Jacobsen – replaces Johannes Christensen as the representative for Scandinavia. We are most grateful to Johannes for the support he has given IFMA over many years, and particularly for his help in the organisation of the 8th Congress in Copenhagen in 1991. We welcome Brian to Council; he brings experience as a regular attender of IFMA Congresses and good contacts throughout Scandinavia.

We wish him great success in developing the congress program, and know that much has already been put in hand. As well as running his own business, he is Executive Director of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appriasers (a Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appriasers).

Martin Bent – who was Chairman of the organising committee of the 14th IFMA Congress in Perth, Western Australia steps down from Council at the end of his period of office. We are most grateful to Martin for the massive amount of work he put into the very successful 14th Congress, and also for having held the reins as Editor of the JIFM whilst we sought to bring the Journal “online”.
