The IAAE is a worldwide confederation of agricultural economists and others concerned with agricultural economic problems, including problems related to the use of renewable resources and the environment. Its broad goal is to “make a difference” through:

  • Fostering the application of agricultural economics to improve rural economic and social conditions
  • Advancing knowledge of agriculture’s economic organization.
  • Facilitating communication and information exchange among those concerned with rural welfare.

Membership is open to all who have an interest in making such a difference!

 The New Agriculturalist Magazine (free)

links_international

This is a most informative and wide-ranging magazine on agriculture worldwide, but with a definite leaning towards developing countries. The magazine has sections on the current relevant news, points of view by guest authors, “focus on” section, perspective, book reviews, photo reports, worldwide conference diary, development reports, useful country profiles (a different country each issue), download facilities, very good search facility and back issues section. There is no subscription and you can sign up for email notification when a new issue is published. Excellent, well worth a visit!
