The 8th AFMA Congress was held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 25-29th November 2012 at the Sarova Panafric Hotel. This congress was a revival of AFMA Congresses, the last one of which was held in Abuja, Nigeria in 2004. Three IFMA Members in particular are to be congratulated in successfully re-starting the series – Philip Nyangweso, Mark Korir (both from Kenya) and Grace Evbuomwan (from Nigeria, and a Council Member of IFMA).
Philip is now the President of AFMA and Grace is the Past President. Mark is the Secretary of AFMA.
The 9th AFMA Congress is being planned in South Africa in 2014.
